Welcome on the site of 12GGW

 

This site is dedicated to a Royal Netherlands Air Force Unit, the

12th Group Guided Weapons who was based during in the cold war in West-Germany. In the sixties, seventies and eighties there where several Dutch units active. together with units of the US-army ADA.

 

The 12th Group Guided Weapons had the Nike Hercules Ground to Air rocket as their weapon system.  In the early years there was also the Nike Ajax. This system was stationed in a belt from the North to the south in Germany. In a part of that belt te Dutch where active. In particular the 120 squadron in Borgholzhausen, where i served, gets more attention on this site. You wil find also information of other dutch sites and Nike sites is general.

 

In the foto galeries you wil find many pictures. There is also an guestbook, leave a message and maybe you wil find old friends. This site is in Dutch but where possible
